Sebastián Umpierrez de Reguero is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at the Autonomous University of Madrid. Previously, he worked at Tallinn University (Estonia) and the European University Institute (Italy). He holds a Dual Ph.D. in Humanities from Leiden University (The Netherlands) and in Political Science from Diego Portales University (Chile). Sebastián has published, among others, in the Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies, Journal of Elections, Public Opinion and Parties, Contemporary Politics and Representation.Since 2022, he has served as a co-convenor of the Steering Committee of Migration, Citizenship, and Political Participation within the International Migration Network Research (IMISCOE) and the Standing Group of Migration and Ethnicity within the European Consortium of Political Research (ECPR)
