Santiago Pérez-Nievas
Santiago Pérez-Nievas is a Senior Lecturer in the Political Science and International Relations Department at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) of which he was Head between 2014 and 2018. His research interests include political parties and electoral behaviour, with a particular focus on multilevel contexts; attitudes towards the EU; the political behaviour and representation of migrant minorities, and the social and political incorporation of immigrants more generally.
On these topics he has published chapters in collective books (Routledge, Palgrave McMillan, among others) as well as in scientific journals (American Behavioural Scientist, Revista Española de Investigaciones Sociológicas, Migraciones, among others). He has been the principal investigator of the APREPINM project (Plural Councils? the political representation of immigrant in Spain). In AccessIn, he acts as coordinator of WP3 “Removing Barriers in Migrants’ Access to Basic Services: The Role of Service Providers”.
