Laura Lamas-Abraira is a graduate in Social and Cultural Anthropology and holds a master’s degree in Ethnographic Research, Anthropological Theory and Intercultural Relations and an international PhD in Intercultural Studies. Her research interests include migration and transnationalism, interculturalism, cultural engagement and social inclusion. Her PhD research on the care circulation in Chinese transnational families was carried out through a multi-sited ethnography between China and Spain (2014-2019) and has been recently published in a monograph by Routledge. Lately, she has worked as a researcher in both Spanish and European funded projects, the most recent one (2021-2022) the FestSpace project funded by the HERA ‘Public Spaces: Culture and Integration in Europe’ program.
