Antonia Jordan is a PhD candidate in Cultural Anthropology and European Ethnology at the University of Göttingen. Her research interests include migration and border regime studies, South-South migration, transit migration, and extracontinental migration in Latin America. Her dissertation focuses on the impact of European border policies on the dynamics of global migration routes and examines the connections between migration policies on the African and American continents. She holds a Master's degree in International Development Studies (Philipps University of Marburg) and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology (University of Bremen). During her master's studies, she participated in a research project on the Colombian peace process. Her doctoral project is funded by the Hans Böckler Foundation.
